According to a 2006 study conducted by the National Business Incubation Association, historically 87% of firms that graduate from their incubator are still in business. And of those, 84% stay in their communities. In 2005, North American incubators supported over 27,000 new companies that provided full-time work for more than 100,000 employees, and generated annual revenues of over $17 billion.

Typically, companies that successfully move through the incubation process and graduate are more likely to develop successful and sustainable ventures that remain in the community. These companies bring new technologies and products to market; and they create jobs and wealth in the community.

Located at the UA Tech Park, AzCI is a unit of the University of Arizona Office of University Research Parks. One of our primary objectives is to commercialize new technology from the University of Arizona. We work closely with UA partners such as the Office of Technology Transfer and the Office of Corporate and Business Relations to move UA-developed technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace.
