Innovative research enabling a new world of creation

Arizona Microsystems (AZM) specializes in the research and development of optical polymeric materials and fabrication processes. AZM holds intellectual property that is important for the development of new technology in fields that include: integrated photonics, micromechanical systems (MEMS), microfluidic systems, biological imaging and diagnostics, tissue engineering, ultra high-density optical data storage.

Technology developments made by AZM can be used for new products in the industries of defense, telecommunications, biotechnology, and information technology. AZM is now engaged in licensing agreements and development projects with companies interested in bringing new products to market in these fields and others.

AZM has also licensed technology to Focal Point Microsystems, a spin-off of AZM. Focal Point intends to develop a microfabrication system that uses proprietary materials to rapidly create three-dimensional components with submicron resolution. This turn-key system will have a significant impact on several industries and allow the development of unprecedented microsystem capabilities.

Coccinella Development, Inc. has created a unique product (patent pending) that combines the most powerful aspects of video games, speech recognition technology and our proprietary language management process. The end result is 3DLanguage, a virtual town to teach foreign language and culture. Our research has demonstrated that our product is not only more effective than the current methods of textbook and classroom training, but is also much more enjoyable. By simulating the experiences of living abroad, we make the process of learning a new language engaging and fun.
We plan to create 3D Language – Spanish first, and expand our suite of products based on the demands of the market.
